Spicy Beef and Vegetable Noodles
Ingredients:
- For the Noodles:
- 300g wide rice noodles or any wide flat noodles
- 1 tablespoon vegetable oil
- For the Sauce:
- 1/4 cup soy sauce
- 2 tablespoons oyster sauce
- 1 tablespoon hoisin sauce
- 1 tablespoon chili garlic sauce (adjust to taste)
- 1 tablespoon brown sugar
- 1/4 cup water
- For the Stir-Fry:
- 2 tablespoons vegetable oil
- 500g ground beef
- 1 large onion, diced
- 3 cloves garlic, minced
- 1 tablespoon ginger, minced
- 1 red bell pepper, chopped
- 1 green bell pepper, chopped
- 1 carrot, julienned
- 1/2 cup green onions, chopped
- Salt and pepper to taste
Instructions:
- Prepare the Noodles:
- Cook the noodles according to the package instructions. Drain and set aside.
- Toss the noodles with a tablespoon of vegetable oil to prevent sticking.
- Make the Sauce:
- In a bowl, combine soy sauce, oyster sauce, hoisin sauce, chili garlic sauce, brown sugar, and water. Mix well and set aside.
- Cook the Stir-Fry:
- Heat the vegetable oil in a large pan or wok over medium-high heat.
- Add the ground beef and cook until browned, breaking it up with a spatula.
- Add the onion, garlic, and ginger. Sauté until the onion is translucent and fragrant.
- Add the red and green bell peppers, and carrot. Stir-fry for about 5 minutes until the vegetables are tender but still crisp.
- Combine:
- Pour the sauce over the meat and vegetables, stirring to coat everything evenly.
- Add the cooked noodles to the pan, tossing to combine with the sauce, meat, and vegetables.
- Cook for another 2-3 minutes until everything is well-mixed and heated through.
- Serve:
- Garnish with chopped green onions.
- Serve hot and enjoy!
