Spicy Beef and Vegetable Noodles
Ingredients:
  • For the Noodles:
    • 300g wide rice noodles or any wide flat noodles
    • 1 tablespoon vegetable oil
  • For the Sauce:
    • 1/4 cup soy sauce
    • 2 tablespoons oyster sauce
    • 1 tablespoon hoisin sauce
    • 1 tablespoon chili garlic sauce (adjust to taste)
    • 1 tablespoon brown sugar
    • 1/4 cup water
  • For the Stir-Fry:
    • 2 tablespoons vegetable oil
    • 500g ground beef
    • 1 large onion, diced
    • 3 cloves garlic, minced
    • 1 tablespoon ginger, minced
    • 1 red bell pepper, chopped
    • 1 green bell pepper, chopped
    • 1 carrot, julienned
    • 1/2 cup green onions, chopped
    • Salt and pepper to taste

Instructions:

  1. Prepare the Noodles:
    • Cook the noodles according to the package instructions. Drain and set aside.
    • Toss the noodles with a tablespoon of vegetable oil to prevent sticking.
  2. Make the Sauce:
    • In a bowl, combine soy sauce, oyster sauce, hoisin sauce, chili garlic sauce, brown sugar, and water. Mix well and set aside.
  3. Cook the Stir-Fry:
    • Heat the vegetable oil in a large pan or wok over medium-high heat.
    • Add the ground beef and cook until browned, breaking it up with a spatula.
    • Add the onion, garlic, and ginger. Sauté until the onion is translucent and fragrant.
    • Add the red and green bell peppers, and carrot. Stir-fry for about 5 minutes until the vegetables are tender but still crisp.
  4. Combine:
    • Pour the sauce over the meat and vegetables, stirring to coat everything evenly.
    • Add the cooked noodles to the pan, tossing to combine with the sauce, meat, and vegetables.
    • Cook for another 2-3 minutes until everything is well-mixed and heated through.
  5. Serve:
    • Garnish with chopped green onions.
    • Serve hot and enjoy!
