 Parmesan Herb Garlic Rolls

Ingredients:

– 1 package (1/4 oz) active dry yeast
– 1 cup warm water (110-115°F)
– 2 tablespoons sugar
– 3 tablespoons melted butter
– 1 teaspoon salt
– 1 large egg
– 3 1/2 to 4 cups all-purpose flour
– 1/2 cup grated Parmesan cheese
– 2 teaspoons garlic powder
– 1 teaspoon dried oregano
– 1 teaspoon dried basil
– 1 teaspoon dried parsley
– 1/4 cup melted butter (for brushing)
– Additional Parmesan cheese for topping

 Instructions:

1. **Activate Yeast**: In a large bowl, dissolve yeast in warm water. Add the sugar and let it sit for about 5 minutes until frothy.

2. **Mix Dough**: Add the melted butter, salt, egg, and 2 cups of flour to the yeast mixture. Beat on medium speed until smooth. Stir in enough remaining flour to form a soft dough.

3. **Knead Dough**: Turn onto a floured surface and knead until smooth and elastic, about 6-8 minutes.

4. **First Rise**: Place in a greased bowl, turning once to grease the top. Cover and let rise in a warm place until doubled, about 1 hour.

5. **Prepare Rolls**: Punch down dough and divide into 12-15 equal pieces. Shape each piece into a ball and place in a greased cast-iron skillet or baking dish.

6. **Second Rise**: Cover and let rise until doubled, about 30 minutes.

7. **Prepare Topping**: In a small bowl, combine Parmesan cheese, garlic powder, oregano, basil, and parsley. Brush the tops of the rolls with melted butter and sprinkle the cheese and herb mixture evenly over the rolls.

8. **Bake**: Preheat oven to 375°F (190°C). Bake rolls for 18-22 minutes or until golden brown.

9. **Serve**: Brush with additional melted butter and sprinkle with extra Parmesan cheese if desired. Serve warm.
