This One-Pan Chicken with Buttered Noodles is a simple, comforting dinner that comes together in one skillet. Juicy, golden chicken breasts simmer in a creamy garlic sauce while tender egg noodles soak up all the rich buttery flavor. Ingredients

  • 4 boneless, skinless chicken breasts

  • 2 tbsp olive oil

  • 3 garlic cloves, minced

  • 2 cups chicken broth

  • 1 cup heavy cream

  • Salt and black pepper, to taste

  • 2 tbsp butter (optional, for extra richness)

  • Fresh parsley, chopped (optional garnish)

Directions

  1. Season the Chicken
    Season the chicken breasts with salt and black pepper on both sides.

  2. Sear the Chicken
    Heat olive oil in a large skillet or pan over medium heat.
    Cook the chicken for 4–5 minutes per side until golden brown. Remove and set aside.

  3. Cook the Garlic
    In the same pan, add the minced garlic and cook for about 30 seconds until fragrant.

  4. Add the Liquid
    Pour in the chicken broth and heavy cream, stirring to combine and scraping up any browned bits from the pan.

  5. Add the Noodles
    Stir in the egg noodles and bring the mixture to a gentle simmer.

  6. Return the Chicken
    Place the chicken breasts back into the pan, nestling them into the noodles.

    Cover and cook for 10–12 minutes, until the noodles are tender and the chicken is fully cooked.
