 Instructions

1. **Prepare the Mashed Potatoes:**
– Boil the potatoes in salted water until tender, about 15-20 minutes. Drain and return to the pot.
– Add milk and butter to the potatoes. Mash until smooth and creamy. Season with salt and black pepper to taste. Keep warm.

2. **Cook the Asparagus:**
– Preheat the oven to 400°F (200°C). Toss the asparagus with olive oil, salt, and black pepper. Spread on a baking sheet and roast for 10-12 minutes until tender.

3. **Make the Salisbury Steaks:**
– In a bowl, combine ground beef, breadcrumbs, egg, Worcestershire sauce, garlic powder, onion powder, salt, and pepper. Mix until just combined.
– Form the mixture into 4 oval patties.
– Heat a skillet over medium heat and cook the patties until browned on both sides and cooked through, about 4-5 minutes per side. Remove from the skillet and set aside.

4. **Prepare the Gravy:**
– In the same skillet, melt the butter over medium heat. Add the chopped onion and sliced mushrooms. Cook until the onions are translucent and the mushrooms are browned.
– Add the minced garlic and cook for another minute.
– Sprinkle the flour over the onion and mushroom mixture and stir to coat. Gradually add the beef broth, stirring constantly until the sauce thickens.
– Add Worcestershire sauce, and season with salt and black pepper.
