Honey Garlic Herb-Glazed Chicken

 

 

 

Ingredients:

  • 2 large chicken breasts (boneless or bone-in)
  • 2 tablespoons olive oil
  • 3 tablespoons honey
  • 2 garlic cloves (minced)
  • 1 tablespoon Dijon mustard
  • 1 teaspoon soy sauce
  • 1 teaspoon fresh rosemary (chopped) or 1/2 teaspoon dried rosemary
  • 1 teaspoon fresh thyme (optional)
  • Salt and pepper to taste

Instructions:

  1. Preheat the oven:
    • Preheat your oven to 375°F (190°C).
  2. Prepare the chicken:
    • Pat the chicken breasts dry with a paper towel.
    • Season both sides generously with salt and pepper.
  3. Sear the chicken:
    • Heat the olive oil in a large oven-safe skillet over medium-high heat.
    • Sear the chicken breasts for 2-3 minutes on each side until golden brown. Remove from heat.
  4. Make the glaze:
    • In a small bowl, mix the honey, minced garlic, Dijon mustard, soy sauce, rosemary, and thyme.
  5. Glaze the chicken:
    • Pour the glaze over the seared chicken in the skillet, ensuring it’s well coated.
    • Transfer the skillet to the preheated oven.
  6. Bake the chicken:
    • Bake for 20-25 minutes (depending on the thickness of the chicken), basting with the glaze once or twice during cooking.
    • Check that the chicken reaches an internal temperature of 165°F (74°C) before removing from the oven.
  7. Garnish and serve:
    • Let the chicken rest for 5 minutes after baking.
    • Spoon extra glaze from the skillet over the chicken and garnish with additional fresh rosemary.
