Grilled Steak with Roasted Potatoes and Creamy Cauliflower
Ingredients
For the Steak:
- 1 ribeye or sirloin steak (1-1.5 inches thick)
- Salt and black pepper, to taste
- 1 tbsp olive oil or melted butter
- Fresh herbs like rosemary or thyme (optional for garnish)
- 1 clove garlic, minced (optional)
For the Roasted Potatoes:
- 4-5 medium yellow potatoes, sliced
- 2 tbsp olive oil
- Salt and pepper, to taste
- 1 tsp garlic powder (optional)
- Fresh parsley, chopped, for garnish
For the Creamy Cauliflower:

- 1 head of cauliflower, cut into florets
- 1/2 cup heavy cream
- 1/2 cup grated Parmesan cheese
- Salt and pepper, to taste
- 1 tbsp butter
Instructions
Step 1: Prepare the Steak
- Let the steak sit at room temperature for about 30 minutes before cooking.
- Pat it dry with paper towels, then season both sides generously with salt and black pepper.
- Heat a skillet or grill pan over high heat and add olive oil or butter.
- Place the steak in the pan and sear for 2-3 minutes per side for medium-rare (cook longer if you prefer it more done).
- Add garlic and herbs to the pan in the last minute for extra flavor.
- Once cooked, remove the steak from the pan and let it rest for about 5 minutes before serving.
Step 2: Make the Roasted Potatoes
- Preheat your oven to 400°F (200°C).
- In a bowl, toss the sliced potatoes with olive oil, salt, pepper, and garlic powder if using.
- Spread the potatoes on a baking sheet in a single layer.
- Roast for 25-30 minutes, flipping halfway through, until golden and crispy.
- Garnish with chopped parsley before serving.
Step 3: Creamy Cauliflower
- Boil or steam the cauliflower florets until tender, about 8-10 minutes. Drain well.
- In a saucepan, heat the heavy cream and butter over medium heat.
- Add the cooked cauliflower and Parmesan cheese, stirring until the cheese is melted and the mixture is creamy.
- Season with salt and pepper to taste.

- Plate the steak with roasted potatoes and a side of creamy cauliflower.
