 Grilled Steak:

**Ingredients:**

– 1 ribeye or sirloin steak
– Salt and pepper to taste
– Olive oil
– Garlic (optional)
– Fresh herbs like thyme or rosemary (optional)
– Butter (optional)

**Instructions:**

1. **Prep the Steak:** Take the steak out of the refrigerator and let it sit at room temperature for about 30 minutes. Season both sides generously with salt and pepper.
2. **Preheat the Grill or Pan:** Heat your grill to high or your pan to medium-high heat. If using a pan, add a little olive oil.
3. **Cook the Steak:** Place the steak on the grill or pan. Cook for about 4-5 minutes on each side for medium-rare, or adjust the time depending on your preferred doneness.
4. **Optional Additions:** For extra flavor, you can add a knob of butter, garlic, and fresh herbs to the pan during the last minute of cooking, basting the steak with the melted butter.
5. **Rest the Steak:** Remove the steak from the heat and let it rest for about 5 minutes before slicing.
