 Ingredients

**Crust:**
– 1 1/2 cups graham cracker crumbs
– 1/4 cup granulated sugar
– 1/2 cup melted butter

**Filling:**
– 1 cup granulated sugar
– 1/2 cup packed brown sugar
– 1/4 cup cornstarch
– 1/2 teaspoon salt
– 3 cups whole milk
– 4 large egg yolks
– 3 tablespoons unsalted butter
– 1 teaspoon vanilla extract
– 1/2 cup caramel sauce

**Topping:**
– 1 cup heavy cream
– 2 tablespoons powdered sugar
– 1 teaspoon vanilla extract

**Crust:**
1. Preheat the oven to 350°F (175°C).
2. In a medium bowl, combine the graham cracker crumbs and granulated sugar. Stir in the melted butter until the mixture is well combined.
3. Press the crumb mixture into the bottom and up the sides of a 9-inch pie dish.
4. Bake for 10 minutes, then let cool completely.

**Filling:**
1. In a medium saucepan, combine the granulated sugar, brown sugar, cornstarch, and salt. Gradually whisk in the milk until smooth.
2. Cook over medium heat, stirring constantly, until the mixture thickens and comes to a boil. Boil for 1 minute, then remove from heat.
3. In a small bowl, whisk the egg yolks. Gradually whisk in about 1 cup of the hot milk mixture to temper the yolks.
4. Pour the egg yolk mixture back into the saucepan, whisking constantly.
5. Return to medium heat and cook, stirring constantly, until the mixture thickens and comes to a boil. Boil for 1 minute.
6. Remove from heat and stir in the butter, vanilla extract, and caramel sauce until smooth.
7. Pour the filling into the prepared crust and smooth the top. Let cool to room temperature, then refrigerate for at least 4 hours, or until set.

**Topping:**
1. In a large bowl, beat the heavy cream, powdered sugar, and vanilla extract until stiff peaks form.
2. Pipe or spread the whipped cream over the top of the pie.

**Serve and Enjoy:**
1. Slice the pie and serve chilled.
