**Ingredients:**
– **1 cup (225g) unsalted butter, softened**
– **1/2 cup (100g) granulated sugar**
– **1 cup (200g) brown sugar, packed**
– **2 large eggs**
– **1 teaspoon vanilla extract**
– **2 1/2 cups (310g) all-purpose flour**
– **1 teaspoon baking soda**
– **1/2 teaspoon salt**
– **1 cup (120g) chopped pecans** (plus extra for topping)

– **1/2 cup (120ml) caramel sauce**

**Instructions:**
1. **Preheat your oven** to 350°F (175°C). Line a baking sheet with parchment paper.
2. **In a large bowl, cream together** the butter, granulated sugar, and brown sugar until light and fluffy.
3. **Add the eggs** one at a time, beating well after each addition. Mix in the vanilla extract.
4. **In a separate bowl, whisk together** the flour, baking soda, and salt.
