Chocolate Marble Muffins Recipe
Ingredients:
- 2 cups all-purpose flour
- 3/4 cup granulated sugar
- 2 teaspoons baking powder
- 1/2 teaspoon salt
- 1/2 cup unsalted butter, melted
- 1 cup milk
- 2 large eggs
- 1 teaspoon vanilla extract
- 1/4 cup cocoa powder
- 1/4 cup hot water
- 12 small pieces of chocolate bar (one for each muffin)
- Optional: chocolate chips for topping
Instructions:
- Preheat Oven and Prepare Muffin Tin:
- Preheat your oven to 375°F (190°C).
- Line a muffin tin with paper liners.
- Mix Dry Ingredients:
- In a large bowl, sift together flour, sugar, baking powder, and salt.
- Combine Wet Ingredients:
- In another bowl, whisk together the melted butter, milk, eggs, and vanilla extract.
- Make Batter:
- Add the wet ingredients to the dry ingredients, stirring until just combined.
- Prepare Chocolate Mixture:
- Mix cocoa powder with hot water until smooth.
- Take about a cup of the muffin batter and combine it with the cocoa mixture to create the chocolate batter.
- Assemble Muffins:
- Spoon vanilla and chocolate batters into each muffin cup, alternating between them to create a marble effect.
- Gently swirl with a toothpick or knife.
- Press a piece of chocolate bar into the center of each muffin.
- If desired, sprinkle some chocolate chips on top.
- Bake:
- Bake for 20-25 minutes, or until a toothpick inserted into the muffin comes out clean.
- Let them cool in the pan for a few minutes before transferring to a wire rack to cool completely.
- Serve:
