Chocolate Marble Muffins Recipe

 

 

Ingredients:

  • 2 cups all-purpose flour
  • 3/4 cup granulated sugar
  • 2 teaspoons baking powder
  • 1/2 teaspoon salt
  • 1/2 cup unsalted butter, melted
  • 1 cup milk
  • 2 large eggs
  • 1 teaspoon vanilla extract
  • 1/4 cup cocoa powder
  • 1/4 cup hot water
  • 12 small pieces of chocolate bar (one for each muffin)
  • Optional: chocolate chips for topping

Instructions:

  1. Preheat Oven and Prepare Muffin Tin:
    • Preheat your oven to 375°F (190°C).
    • Line a muffin tin with paper liners.
  2. Mix Dry Ingredients:
    • In a large bowl, sift together flour, sugar, baking powder, and salt.
  3. Combine Wet Ingredients:
    • In another bowl, whisk together the melted butter, milk, eggs, and vanilla extract.
  4. Make Batter:
    • Add the wet ingredients to the dry ingredients, stirring until just combined.
  5. Prepare Chocolate Mixture:
    • Mix cocoa powder with hot water until smooth.
    • Take about a cup of the muffin batter and combine it with the cocoa mixture to create the chocolate batter.
  6. Assemble Muffins:
    • Spoon vanilla and chocolate batters into each muffin cup, alternating between them to create a marble effect.
    • Gently swirl with a toothpick or knife.
    • Press a piece of chocolate bar into the center of each muffin.
    • If desired, sprinkle some chocolate chips on top.
  7. Bake:
    • Bake for 20-25 minutes, or until a toothpick inserted into the muffin comes out clean.
    • Let them cool in the pan for a few minutes before transferring to a wire rack to cool completely.
  8. Serve:
    • Enjoy these muffins warm or at room temperature. The chocolate bar inside will melt into a gooey surprise, making these muffins a hit for chocolate lovers!
