Ingredients:

– 4 cups fresh or frozen cherries, pitted
– 1 cup granulated sugar

Instructions:
1. **Preheat your oven** to 350°F (175°C).
2. **Prepare the filling:**
– In a large saucepan, combine the cherries, 1 cup of sugar, cornstarch, vanilla extract, and lemon juice.
– Cook over medium heat, stirring frequently, until the mixture thickens and bubbles. Remove from heat and set aside.
