Cheesy Pull-Apart Garlic Bread
Ingredients:
- 1 large round bread loaf (e.g., sourdough or artisan bread)
- 1/2 cup unsalted butter (melted)
- 3-4 cloves garlic (minced)
- 1 teaspoon parsley (dried or fresh, chopped)
- 1 cup mozzarella cheese (shredded)
- 1/2 cup cheddar cheese (shredded)
- 2 tablespoons Parmesan cheese (optional)
- Fresh parsley (chopped, for garnish)
Instructions:
- Preheat the oven:
- Preheat your oven to 375°F (190°C).
- Prepare the bread:
- Place the bread loaf on a cutting board.
- Use a serrated knife to make diagonal cuts about 1 inch apart, being careful not to cut all the way through the bottom of the bread.
- Turn the bread 90 degrees and repeat, creating a crisscross pattern.
- Prepare the garlic butter:
- In a small bowl, mix the melted butter, minced garlic, and dried or fresh parsley.
- Assemble the bread:
- Gently pull apart the bread and use a spoon or pastry brush to drizzle the garlic butter into the cuts, ensuring it gets deep into the loaf.
- Stuff the shredded mozzarella, cheddar, and Parmesan cheese (if using) into the cracks.
- Bake the bread:
- Wrap the loaf loosely in aluminum foil and place it on a baking sheet.
- Bake for 15 minutes, then remove the foil and bake for an additional 10 minutes, or until the cheese is fully melted and the bread is crispy.
- Garnish and serve:
- Sprinkle fresh parsley over the bread before serving.
- Serve warm and enjoy pulling apart the cheesy, garlicky goodness!
This dish is ideal for parties, gatherings, or as a cozy treat. Let me know if you’d like variations, like adding bacon or different herbs!
