Cheesy Mushroom Dip Recipe

 

 

Ingredients:

  • 2 tablespoons butter
  • 1 cup mushrooms, sliced (cremini or button mushrooms work well)
  • 1 clove garlic, minced
  • 1 package (8 oz) cream cheese, softened
  • 1/2 cup sour cream
  • 1/2 cup mayonnaise
  • 1 1/2 cups shredded mozzarella cheese
  • 1/2 cup grated Parmesan cheese
  • Salt and pepper to taste
  • Fresh parsley, chopped (for garnish)

Instructions:

  1. Sauté the Mushrooms:
    • In a skillet over medium heat, melt the butter.
    • Add the sliced mushrooms and cook for 5-7 minutes until they are golden brown and tender.
    • Add the minced garlic and cook for another minute until fragrant. Season with a little salt and pepper.
    • Set aside a few slices of mushrooms for garnish, if desired.
  2. Prepare the Dip Mixture:
    • In a mixing bowl, combine the cream cheese, sour cream, and mayonnaise. Mix until smooth.
    • Add the shredded mozzarella, Parmesan, and the sautéed mushrooms (except the ones reserved for garnish).
    • Season with salt and pepper to taste.
  3. Bake the Dip:
    • Preheat the oven to 375°F (190°C).
    • Transfer the mixture to an oven-safe dish and spread it evenly.
    • Top with the reserved mushroom slices.
    • Bake for 20-25 minutes until the dip is bubbly and the cheese is melted and golden.
  4. Serve:
    • Garnish with freshly chopped parsley.
    • Serve hot with crackers, toasted baguette slices, or vegetables for dipping.
