  • 1 block (8 oz) cream cheese, softened
  • 1 cup sour cream
  • 1 cup shredded mozzarella cheese
  • 1/2 cup grated Parmesan cheese

  • 1 tsp garlic powder

  • Sliced baguette or crusty bread, toasted

Instructions:

  1. Preheat the Oven:
    • Preheat your oven to 375°F (190°C).
  2. Cook the Sausage:
    • In a skillet over medium heat, cook the Italian sausage, breaking it up with a spoon, until browned and fully cooked. Drain any excess grease and set aside to cool slightly.
  3. Prepare the Cheese Mixture:
    • In a large bowl, combine the softened cream cheese, sour cream, mozzarella, Parmesan, and cheddar (if using). Mix in the Italian seasoning, garlic powder, and a pinch of salt and pepper.
  4. Combine the Ingredients:
    • Fold the cooked sausage into the cheese mixture, stirring until well combined.
  5. Assemble the Dip:
    • Spread the sausage and cheese mixture evenly into a baking dish. Sprinkle the top with breadcrumbs if you want an extra crunchy topping, and drizzle with a little olive oil.
  6. Bake:
    • Bake in the preheated oven for 20-25 minutes, or until the dip is bubbly and the top is golden brown.
  7. Garnish and Serve:
    • Remove from the oven and sprinkle with fresh parsley or a sprinkle of za’atar seasoning for a flavor boost. Serve hot with toasted baguette slices or crusty bread for dipping.

Tips:

  • For a spicier kick, use hot Italian sausage or add a dash of red pepper flakes.
  • You can make this dip a day ahead and refrigerate it until ready to bake. Just add a few extra minutes to the baking time if baking straight from the fridge.
  • Serve with vegetables like carrots, celery sticks, or bell peppers for a lighter dipping option.

Enjoy this warm, cheesy, and savory sausage dip with family and friends! It’s perfect for parties, game days, or any gathering where you want to impress with a comforting, crowd-pleasing dish.
