Butter Toffee Pretzels

If you love the irresistible combination of sweet and salty snacks, these Butter Toffee Pretzels are guaranteed to become a favorite. Crunchy pretzels are coated in a rich homemade toffee sauce made with butter and brown sugar, then baked slowly until perfectly crisp and caramelized. The result is a snack that’s buttery, crunchy, and incredibly addictive.

These pretzels are perfect for parties, holiday gatherings, game days, or even as a homemade gift. The balance of salty pretzels and sweet toffee coating creates a flavor that keeps you reaching for “just one more.” Once baked, the pretzels develop a crisp caramel coating with a hint of vanilla and a delicious crunch from the toffee bits.

Another reason this recipe is so popular is how simple it is to make. With only a handful of ingredients and a low oven temperature, the pretzels slowly bake to achieve that perfect caramelized texture. It’s a great make-ahead snack because it stores well and stays crunchy for days.

Ingredients

  • 10 cups mini pretzel twists (about one 16 oz bag)

  • 1 cup lightly packed light brown sugar

  • 1/2 cup (1 stick) unsalted butter, cubed

  7. Sprinkle the toffee bits over the pretzels and toss lightly so they distribute throughout the mixture.

  8. Place the pan in the oven and bake for 45–60 minutes, stirring every 15 minutes to ensure the pretzels are evenly coated and crisp.

  9. Remove from the oven and spread the pretzels onto parchment paper to cool completely.

Serving Suggestions

Once cooled, break apart any clusters and store the pretzels in an airtight container. They make a great snack on their own, but they are also perfect for party snack mixes or gift bags during holidays.

With their crunchy texture, buttery caramel coating, and sweet toffee flavor, Butter Toffee Pretzels are one of those snacks that disappear quickly. Sweet, salty, and absolutely addictive!
