Ingredients:

– 1/2 cup water
– 1/4 cup olive oil

– 1 egg, beaten (for egg wash)

– 1/4 cup grated mozzarella or cheddar cheese (optional)

1. **Prepare the Dough:**
– In a large bowl, combine the flour and salt. Make a well in the center and add the water and olive oil.
– Mix until a dough forms. Knead on a lightly floured surface until smooth and elastic. Cover and let rest while preparing the filling.
2. **Prepare the Filling:**
– In a large skillet, cook the ground meat over medium heat until browned. Drain excess fat.
– Add the onion and garlic to the skillet. Cook until softened.

– Spread the meat mixture evenly over the dough, leaving a small border around the edges.
– Roll up the dough tightly, starting from one of the long sides, to form a log. Pinch the seams to seal.
– Place the roll seam-side down on the prepared baking sheet.
4. **Bake the Roll:**
– Brush the roll with the beaten egg wash.
– Sprinkle with chopped parsley and cheese if using.
– Bake for 30-35 minutes, or until golden brown and cooked through.
– Let cool slightly before slicing into pieces.
