Baked Apple Fritters (Quick & Easy)

These Baked Apple Fritters are soft, lightly spiced, and packed with sweet apple chunks. Unlike traditional fritters, these are baked instead of fried, making them easier and less messy while still delivering that cozy bakery-style flavor. Finished with a sweet glaze, they’re perfect for breakfast, dessert, or a comforting snack.

Ingredients

For the Fritters

  • 2 cups apples, peeled and chopped

  • 1½ cups all-purpose flour

  • ⅓ cup sugar

  • 2 tsp baking powder

  • Pinch of salt

  • ⅓ cup milk

  • 1 tsp vanilla extract

  • 1 large egg

For the Glaze

  • 1 cup powdered sugar

  • 1½ tbsp milk

Directions

  1. Preheat the Oven
    Preheat your oven to 375°F (190°C) and line a baking sheet with parchment paper.

  2. Mix Dry Ingredients
    In a large bowl, whisk together the flour, sugar, baking powder, cinnamon, and salt.

    In another bowl, mix the milk, vanilla extract, and egg until well blended.

  4. Make the Batter
    Add the wet ingredients to the dry ingredients and mix until just combined.

  5. Fold in Apples
    Gently fold in the chopped apples.

  6. Shape the Fritters
    Drop spoonfuls of the batter onto the prepared baking sheet, forming small mounds.

    Bake for 12–15 minutes or until the fritters are golden and cooked through.
