Apple Cinnamon Loaf Recipe

 

 

Ingredients:

  • 2 cups all-purpose flour
  • 1 1/2 teaspoons baking powder
  • 1/2 teaspoon salt
  • 1 teaspoon cinnamon powder
  • 1/2 cup (1 stick) butter, softened
  • 1 cup granulated sugar
  • 2 large eggs
  • 1/2 cup milk
  • 2 apples, peeled and diced
  • 1 teaspoon vanilla extract

Cinnamon Sugar Topping:

  • 2 tablespoons granulated sugar
  • 1 teaspoon cinnamon powder

Instructions:

  1. Prepare the Loaf Pan:
    • Preheat the oven to 350°F (175°C) and grease a loaf pan.
  2. Mix the Dry Ingredients:
    • In a bowl, combine flour, baking powder, salt, and cinnamon. Set aside.
  3. Cream Butter and Sugar:
    • In a separate bowl, beat together the butter and sugar until light and fluffy.
    • Add the eggs one at a time, beating well after each addition. Add vanilla extract.
  4. Combine Wet and Dry Ingredients:
    • Gradually add the dry ingredients to the wet mixture, alternating with milk until just combined.
  5. Fold in the Apples:
    • Gently fold in the diced apples.
  6. Add Cinnamon Sugar Topping:
    • Pour the batter into the loaf pan and spread evenly.
    • In a small bowl, mix the cinnamon and sugar for the topping, then sprinkle it generously over the batter.
  7. Bake:
    • Bake in the preheated oven for 50-60 minutes or until a toothpick inserted into the center comes out clean.
  8. Cool and Serve:
    • Allow the loaf to cool in the pan for 10 minutes, then transfer it to a wire rack to cool completely.

This loaf is perfect with a cup of coffee or tea, and the cinnamon-sugar topping adds a wonderful crunch and flavor. Enjoy!
