Apple Cinnamon Loaf Recipe
Ingredients:
- 2 cups all-purpose flour
- 1 1/2 teaspoons baking powder
- 1/2 teaspoon salt
- 1 teaspoon cinnamon powder
- 1/2 cup (1 stick) butter, softened
- 1 cup granulated sugar
- 2 large eggs
- 1/2 cup milk
- 2 apples, peeled and diced
- 1 teaspoon vanilla extract
Cinnamon Sugar Topping:
- 2 tablespoons granulated sugar
- 1 teaspoon cinnamon powder
Instructions:
- Prepare the Loaf Pan:
- Preheat the oven to 350°F (175°C) and grease a loaf pan.
- Mix the Dry Ingredients:
- In a bowl, combine flour, baking powder, salt, and cinnamon. Set aside.
- Cream Butter and Sugar:
- In a separate bowl, beat together the butter and sugar until light and fluffy.
- Add the eggs one at a time, beating well after each addition. Add vanilla extract.
- Combine Wet and Dry Ingredients:
- Gradually add the dry ingredients to the wet mixture, alternating with milk until just combined.
- Fold in the Apples:
- Gently fold in the diced apples.
- Add Cinnamon Sugar Topping:
- Pour the batter into the loaf pan and spread evenly.
- In a small bowl, mix the cinnamon and sugar for the topping, then sprinkle it generously over the batter.
- Bake:
- Bake in the preheated oven for 50-60 minutes or until a toothpick inserted into the center comes out clean.
- Cool and Serve:
- Allow the loaf to cool in the pan for 10 minutes, then transfer it to a wire rack to cool completely.
This loaf is perfect with a cup of coffee or tea, and the cinnamon-sugar topping adds a wonderful crunch and flavor. Enjoy!
