Apple Caramel Cheesecake Delight
Ingredients
- For the crust:
- 1 1/2 cups graham cracker crumbs
- 1/3 cup sugar
- 1/2 cup unsalted butter, melted
- For the filling:
- 3 (8 oz) packages cream cheese, softened
- 1 cup sugar
- 1 tsp vanilla extract
- 3 large eggs
- 1 cup finely chopped apples (preferably tart, like Granny Smith)
- For the caramel topping:
- 1 cup caramel sauce (homemade or store-bought)
- For garnish:
- Thin apple slices
- Additional caramel sauce for drizzling
Directions
- Preheat Oven and Prepare Crust:
- Preheat your oven to 350°F (175°C).
- Mix graham cracker crumbs, sugar, and melted butter until well combined. Press the mixture into the bottom of a 9-inch springform pan. Set aside.
- Prepare Filling:
- In a large bowl, beat the cream cheese, sugar, and vanilla extract until smooth and creamy.
- Add eggs one at a time, beating just until blended.
- Fold in the chopped apples.
- Pour the filling over the crust in the springform pan.
- Bake:
- Bake in the preheated oven for about 50 minutes or until the center is almost set.
- Let cool in the pan for 10 minutes, then remove from pan and cool completely on a wire rack.
- Add Caramel Topping and Garnish:
- Once cooled, pour caramel sauce over the top of the cheesecake.
- Arrange apple slices on top as garnish.
- Drizzle additional caramel sauce over the apple slices for extra flavor and decoration.
- Chill:
- Refrigerate the cheesecake for at least 4 hours, or overnight, which allows the flavors to meld together and the cheesecake to set properly.
