Apple Caramel Cheesecake Delight

Ingredients

  • For the crust:
    • 1 1/2 cups graham cracker crumbs
    • 1/3 cup sugar
    • 1/2 cup unsalted butter, melted
  • For the filling:
    • 3 (8 oz) packages cream cheese, softened
    • 1 cup sugar
    • 1 tsp vanilla extract
    • 3 large eggs
    • 1 cup finely chopped apples (preferably tart, like Granny Smith)
  • For the caramel topping:
    • 1 cup caramel sauce (homemade or store-bought)
  • For garnish:
    • Thin apple slices
    • Additional caramel sauce for drizzling

Directions

  1. Preheat Oven and Prepare Crust:
    • Preheat your oven to 350°F (175°C).
    • Mix graham cracker crumbs, sugar, and melted butter until well combined. Press the mixture into the bottom of a 9-inch springform pan. Set aside.
  2. Prepare Filling:
    • In a large bowl, beat the cream cheese, sugar, and vanilla extract until smooth and creamy.
    • Add eggs one at a time, beating just until blended.
    • Fold in the chopped apples.
    • Pour the filling over the crust in the springform pan.
  3. Bake:
    • Bake in the preheated oven for about 50 minutes or until the center is almost set.
    • Let cool in the pan for 10 minutes, then remove from pan and cool completely on a wire rack.
  4. Add Caramel Topping and Garnish:
    • Once cooled, pour caramel sauce over the top of the cheesecake.
    • Arrange apple slices on top as garnish.
    • Drizzle additional caramel sauce over the apple slices for extra flavor and decoration.
  5. Chill:
    • Refrigerate the cheesecake for at least 4 hours, or overnight, which allows the flavors to meld together and the cheesecake to set properly.
