Ingredients:

– 1 egg
– 1 tablespoon Worcestershire sauce
– Salt and pepper to taste
– 2 tablespoons vegetable oil

– 2 tablespoons butter
– 1 small onion, sliced
– 1 cup mushrooms, sliced
– 2 tablespoons all-purpose flour
– 2 cups beef broth
– 1 tablespoon Worcestershire sauce
– Salt and pepper to taste
– Fresh parsley, chopped (for garnish)

Instructions:

1. **Prepare the Salisbury Steaks:**
– In a large bowl, combine ground beef, bread crumbs, milk, chopped onion, garlic, egg, Worcestershire sauce, salt, and pepper. Mix until well combined.
– Shape the mixture into patties (about 4-6, depending on preferred size).
– Heat vegetable oil in a large skillet over medium-high heat. Add the patties and cook until browned on both sides. Remove from skillet and set aside.

2. **Make the Gravy:**
– In the same skillet, melt butter over medium heat. Add sliced onion and cook until softened.
– Add mushrooms and cook until browned.
– Sprinkle flour over the onion and mushroom mixture. Stir well to coat.
– Gradually add beef broth, stirring constantly to prevent lumps. Continue to cook until the gravy thickens.
– Stir in Worcestershire sauce and season with salt and pepper to taste.

3. **Combine and Simmer:**
– Return the Salisbury steak patties to the skillet, nestling them into the gravy.
– Reduce heat to low and let simmer for about 15-20 minutes, or until the patties are fully cooked and the gravy has thickened further.

4. **Serve:**
– Garnish with fresh chopped parsley.
– Serve hot with mashed potatoes, rice, or your favorite vegetables.
