Chocolate Nut Clusters Recipe
Ingredients:
- 2 cups chocolate (milk, dark, or semi-sweet, as preferred)
- 1 1/2 cups mixed nuts (such as almonds, peanuts, hazelnuts, or pecans), roughly chopped
- 1/2 cup crushed wafers or crispy rice cereal (optional, for added crunch)
- 1 tablespoon coconut oil (optional, for a smoother chocolate coating)
Instructions:
- Melt the Chocolate:
- In a microwave-safe bowl, melt the chocolate in 20-30 second intervals, stirring in between until smooth. Alternatively, you can use a double boiler on the stovetop to melt the chocolate.
- If using, stir in the coconut oil to make the chocolate coating smoother and shinier.
- Prepare the Mix:
- Add the chopped nuts and crushed wafers (if using) to the melted chocolate. Stir well until all the pieces are evenly coated.
- Form the Clusters:
- Using a spoon, scoop small portions of the mixture and drop them onto a baking sheet lined with parchment paper or place them in small paper cupcake liners.
- Shape each cluster to your desired size, ensuring they’re evenly spaced.
- Chill the Clusters:
- Place the baking sheet in the refrigerator and chill for 1-2 hours, or until the chocolate sets completely.
- Serve and Enjoy:
- Once set, transfer the clusters to an airtight container. They can be stored in the refrigerator for up to two weeks.
These chocolate nut clusters make a perfect snack or treat, with a satisfying crunch and a rich chocolate flavor. Enjoy!
