Peach Trifle

Servings: 6-8
Preparation Time: 20 minutes
Chilling Time: 1 hour

Ingredients:

  • 2 cans (15 oz each) of peaches in syrup, drained and sliced (or use fresh peaches if available)
  • 1 cup heavy cream or whipped topping
  • 1 package (3.4 oz) instant vanilla pudding mix
  • 2 cups cold milk (for the pudding mix)
  • 1/2 cup crushed vanilla wafers or graham crackers
  • 1 teaspoon vanilla extract (optional)
  • Additional whipped topping, for garnish

Instructions:

  1. Prepare the Pudding:
    • In a bowl, combine the instant vanilla pudding mix with cold milk. Whisk for about 2 minutes until it thickens. Set aside to chill in the refrigerator for 5-10 minutes.
  2. Prepare the Whipped Cream:
    • If using heavy cream, beat it until soft peaks form. Add vanilla extract if desired. Alternatively, you can use pre-made whipped topping.
  3. Layer the Trifle:
    • In a large trifle bowl or individual serving glasses, start by adding a layer of peach slices at the bottom.
    • Add a layer of vanilla pudding over the peaches.
    • Spoon a layer of whipped cream or whipped topping on top of the pudding.
    • Sprinkle a layer of crushed vanilla wafers or graham crackers.
  4. Repeat Layers:
    • Repeat the layers with more peaches, pudding, whipped cream, and crushed wafers until you reach the top of the bowl. End with a layer of whipped cream and a sprinkle of crushed wafers or graham crackers for garnish.
  5. Chill and Serve:
    • Refrigerate the trifle for at least 1 hour to allow the flavors to meld together.
    • Serve chilled and enjoy!

This Peach Trifle is creamy, fruity, and has a lovely crunch from the cookie crumbles. It’s perfect for gatherings or as a refreshing dessert any time. Enjoy!
