Banana Pancakes Recipe
Ingredients:
- 1 cup all-purpose flour
- 1 tablespoon sugar
- 2 teaspoons baking powder
- 1/4 teaspoon salt
- 1 cup milk
- 1 egg
- 2 tablespoons melted butter or vegetable oil
- 1 teaspoon vanilla extract
- 2 ripe bananas, sliced
- Additional butter or oil for cooking
Instructions:
- Mix Dry Ingredients:
- In a large bowl, whisk together flour, sugar, baking powder, and salt.
- Add Wet Ingredients:
- In another bowl, beat together the milk, egg, melted butter, and vanilla extract.
- Pour the wet ingredients into the dry ingredients and stir until just combined. The batter should still have some lumps.
- Prepare Bananas:
- Slice the bananas into rounds.
- Cook Pancakes:
- Heat a non-stick skillet or griddle over medium heat and brush with a little butter or oil.
- Place banana slices in the skillet and pour some batter over each slice, enough to cover them.
- Cook for about 2-3 minutes or until bubbles form on the surface of the pancake and the edges look set.
- Flip carefully and cook for another 2-3 minutes on the other side until golden brown.
- Serve:
- Serve the pancakes hot with your choice of syrup, honey, or additional fresh banana slices.
