Nutty Chocolate Brownies
Ingredients:
- 1/2 cup unsalted butter
- 1 cup semisweet chocolate chips, divided
- 1 cup granulated sugar
- 2 large eggs
- 1 teaspoon vanilla extract
- 3/4 cup all-purpose flour
- 1/4 cup unsweetened cocoa powder
- 1/2 teaspoon salt
- 1/2 cup chopped walnuts
- Additional chocolate chips and chopped nuts for topping
Instructions:
- Preheat Oven and Prepare Pan:
- Preheat your oven to 350°F (175°C).
- Line an 8×8 inch baking pan with parchment paper, allowing some overhang for easy removal.
- Melt Butter and Chocolate:
- In a medium saucepan, melt the butter over low heat.
- Add 3/4 cup chocolate chips and stir until melted and smooth.
- Remove from heat.
- Mix Batter:
- Stir sugar into the melted chocolate mixture until well combined.
- Beat in eggs one at a time, then stir in vanilla extract.
- Sift together flour, cocoa powder, and salt; gradually fold into the chocolate mixture.
- Stir in the remaining 1/4 cup chocolate chips and chopped walnuts.
- Bake:
- Pour the batter into the prepared pan and spread evenly.
- Bake for 20-25 minutes or until a toothpick inserted in the center comes out with a few moist crumbs.
- Add Toppings and Drizzle:
- As soon as you remove the brownies from the oven, sprinkle additional chocolate chips and nuts over the top.
- Return to the oven for about 1 minute, just long enough to melt the chocolate chips slightly.
- Remove from oven and use a knife or spatula to swirl the melted chips gently.
- Cool and Serve:
- Let the brownies cool completely in the pan set on a wire rack.
- Lift out of the pan using the parchment paper overhang.
- Drizzle with melted chocolate for a glossy finish.
- Cut into squares and serve.
