Ingredients:

For the Peanut Butter Layer:

  • 1 cup creamy peanut butter
  • 1/2 cup unsalted butter, melted
  • 1 1/2 cups powdered sugar
  • 1 cup crushed graham crackers or crispy rice cereal (for added crunch)

For the Chocolate Topping:

  • 1 1/2 cups semi-sweet chocolate chips
  • 2 tablespoons peanut butter

Instructions:

  1. Prepare the Peanut Butter Layer:
    • In a large mixing bowl, combine the melted butter, peanut butter, and powdered sugar. Stir until smooth.
    • Fold in the crushed graham crackers or crispy rice cereal for texture.
    • Press the mixture into an even layer in an 8×8-inch baking pan lined with parchment paper.
  2. Make the Chocolate Topping:
    • In a microwave-safe bowl, combine the chocolate chips and peanut butter.
    • Microwave in 20-second intervals, stirring each time until smooth and fully melted.
    • Pour the chocolate mixture over the peanut butter layer and spread it out evenly.
  3. Set and Serve:
    • Place the pan in the refrigerator for at least 1 hour, or until the bars are firm.
    • Once set, cut into squares and serve.
