– 3/4 cup buttermilk, cold

 Instructions:

1. **Preheat Oven**:
– Preheat your oven to 450°F (230°C). Line a baking sheet with parchment paper.

2. **Mix Dry Ingredients**:
– In a large bowl, whisk together the flour, baking powder, baking soda, sugar, and salt.

3. **Cut in Butter**:
– Add the cold butter pieces to the flour mixture. Use a pastry cutter or your fingers to cut the butter into the flour until the mixture resembles coarse crumbs.

4. **Add Buttermilk**:
– Pour the cold buttermilk into the flour mixture and stir just until combined. Do not overmix.
